Transition

Staff work hard to ensure smooth transitions for pupils at all stages of their time at Morpeth All Saints

 

  • Transition from Nursery to Reception and year 4 to middle school takes place with children spending time  in both settings.
  • Class to class transitions are supported through 'meet the teacher' days, hand over meetings, staff discussions and child support plans which follow the children through school.
  • During middle school transitions children spend days visiting their new settings.  School holds transition reviews and meetings which involve parents, pupils and any relevant outside agency support as well as staff from both schools.  There are additional meeting between the SENDCos from both schools.  School support plans allow for detailed hand-over of relevant history and paperwork.
