We hope you all had a lovely holiday and we are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Fantastic Festivals
Diwali
We were very fortunate to be part of the live streaming of the book, 'Celebrate The Best Diwali Ever,' by author Sonali Shah and illustrator Chaaya Prabhat. Thousands of children all over the world joined in to listen to Sonali read her book aloud. Chaaya followed this up with a draw along session, showing how to create a Rangoli design. We loved it!
Diva Lamps
Armistice Day
To remember those people who died in wars, every child in our school painted jam jars with poppies and placed a tealight inside of the jar. This was a very special time. Afterwards, we watched the CBeebies programme - Poppies to learn more about Armistice Day and we painted poppy fields.
Christmas in Blue Class
Christingle
We made Christingles and learned what each part of the Christingle represented.
Santa caught on our CCTV
We heard some bells from our classroom and when checking the CCTV we saw Santa flying over our school. We were so excited to see Santa. When we went outside, we found some clues that Santa had been in our school yard. We found footprints, tinsel and Santa's hat.
Santa's Elf
We had another surprise visitor. Today, an elf appeared at our classroom window. He had some special gifts for us. Thank you Santa's elf.
Blue Class Nativity
We have learned our lines and practised lots of songs and we are now ready for our big performance. Unfortunately due to Covid, we cannot perform live to our families. But that didn't stop us from putting on a fantastic performance, we recorded it instead.
Christmas Crafts
We spent the whole day making Christmas crafts. We made calendars, Rudolph the reindeer plates, Christmas tree decorations and Christmas cards. It was so much fun!
Post box walk
After writing our Christmas cards, we walked to the local post box to post our cards. We sang Christmas songs around the post box.
Christmas Party
We dressed up in our Christmas outfits, we made biscuits for the party and we played lots of party games.
