Aims and Objectives

Morpeth All Saints CE Aided First School believes the role of and nature of Relationship and Sex Education to be in equipping our pupils with the knowledge and understanding, personal and inter-personal skills, attitudes, values and beliefs at an appropriate level for each child’s development by providing ongoing, truthful and honest information in a non-judgemental way, in a relaxed and confidential setting.

 

The school has an PSHE Policy which aims:-

 

  • to provide accurate and up-to-date information and
  • to encourage debate and questions and
  • to provide the right level of information as appropriate to different age groups.
  • to build positive relationships and
  • to feel a valued member of the school community

 

This will be achieved by quality delivery within the school’s curriculum through Science, PE, PSHE and Citizenship in an holistic approach by the whole school through Assembly, play times, whole school trips and extra-curricular opportunities as appropriate.
