Below you will find some learning websites which you and your child can access while your child is in isolation or accessing remote learning at home.
If your child is self-isolating, a two week 'Isolation Education' learning pack is available for your child. Please contact the office to ask for this to be emailed or to arrange collection of a printed copy.
If your child's entire bubble is self-isolating, you will be able to access daily activities from the Home Learning section of the website and information about how to access the daily Google Meets with the teacher.
Learning timetables is really important and the children love competing to gain coins and beat their friends on the different online times table games. They have their own log in details to access their account.
Maths Games and Activities
Oxford Owl has lots of fun games, activity sheets and videos to help practise maths skills.
Top Marks is another website with activities for different areas of the maths curriculum.
Oxford Reading Owl
Oxford Reading Owl has free ebooks for all age ranges so you can share a story together. All you have to do is create an account for free.
A good grasp of phonics helps children to become fluent readers and confident spellers. This website allows children to practise blending skills. Children in Year 4 still need to keep practising phases 2, 3, 4 and 5 even when they move onto some trickier spellings.
Twinkl are currently offering free subscription to their website. Here you will find Year 4 home learning packs as well as a range of fun activities.
The children have been learning Yoga as part of their PE lessons this term. This YouTube channel, which tells a story using simple yoga moves, is great for promoting physical development.
