Remote Learning

Statement of School Philosophy

Morpeth All Saints CofE Aided First School is committed to enabling all children to achieve their very best, fully utilising their God given gifts and talents. We endeavour for our children to foster a passion for discovering new things, to be curious about the world around them and to be independent, enthusiastic learners. We recognise that parents/carers are an essential partner in the educational process and we aim to support them in enabling their children to become confident and enthusiastic learners. Our strategy for remote learning continues this.

Aims

This Remote Education Policy aims to:-

  • Ensure consistency in the approach to remote learning for all pupils (including SEND) who aren’t in school through use of quality online and offline resources
  • Provide clear expectations for members of the school community with regards to delivery of high quality interactive remote learning
  • Include continuous delivery of the school curriculum, as well as support of Motivation, Health and Well-Being and Parent support
  • Consider continued education for staff and parents (e.g. CPD, Supervision and Meet the Teacher)
  • Support effective communication between the school and families and support attendance.

Our remote teaching is provided via Google Meet and Class Dojo.  Teachers follow a curriculum sequence that mirrors that which children would follow had they been in school.  Teachers are available throughout the school day via Google Meet and Class Dojo to answer questions and give further support if required.

Children are set daily assignments that are meaningful and ambitious in a range of subject areas in order to maintain a broad and balanced curriculum. The children upload completed work via Class Dojo. Teachers feedback on a daily basis, in addition to recognition of effort.

Please remember to check the school website, Class DoJo and email/texts from Parentmail.  If you require any information/help please email:  parents@morpethallsaints.northumberland.sch.uk
