Place2Be “ART TO EXPRESS OURSELVES” 1 to 7 February 2021
Next week, is Children’s Mental Health Week, run by Place2Be, a charity for children’s and young people’s mental health throughout the UK – a cause we at Morpeth All Saints feel is now more important than ever. The theme this year is EXPRESS YOURSELF. To raise the importance of children’s mental health, we would like your child, whether at school or home to produce a piece of artwork that says something about themselves. It could be a piece of writing, a design, drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, song, poem dance or something else. It is not intended to see who produces the best piece of art, but a way to show how they are feeling and help them feel good about themselves. If you could take a picture of the finished artwork and send it in via ClassDojo or Tapestry before Friday 5th February, we will create a photo library of the school’s artwork on our website and on Twitter, to recognise the importance of Children’s Mental Health. Each year, Place2Be works to ensure that no child has to face mental health problems alone by providing school-based mental health support in schools throughout the UK. As a charity, they rely on the generosity and support of the community to give a donation. If you wish to donate a £1.00, this must be placed into an envelope and all donations will forwarded to Place2Be. We are looking forward to seeing all your amazing artwork.
