How are we using the Sports Funding (2014 – 2015)
This academic year we have again decided to be part of Northumberland’s Sports Partnership, and so our pupils will be participating in a range of competitions and festivals with other schools from all over Northumberland. Please see the bottom of the page for a full timetable of events. We will also be continuing our agreement with Newcastle Community Football Club and each year group will have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports on a Tuesday afternoon. Please also see timetable for the year, attached below.
Last year we found the pupil voice questionnaires enabled us to target sporting interventions and also find out exactly what our pupils in KS1 and KS2 really thought about PE and Sport in school. Therefore, this year we will aim to send out sporting questionnaires before and after each intervention, this will continue to measure the impact of the ‘broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum’ that we offer.

Continuing Professional Development for Staff
During this term, all staff will be asked to complete a skills audit to ensure we provide targeted professional development for all staff at Morpeth All Saints. Some of the exciting professional development opportunities we have already started include: Change 4 Life training, gymnastics, and the PE Subject Co-ordinators course. Staff have also trialled a method for tracking progress in PE last year and this year we feel we have a sound assessment process, which accurately assesses pupils’ progress and is fully reported to parents through parents’ evenings and in school reports.
