Sports Week

National School sports Week!

This week we will be taking part in National School Sport Week. We are so excited to be able to be back in school to celebrate this together. We will be looking at the importance of healthy bodies and minds over the week and trying out lots of different sports. We will also be taking part in our class Sports Day which we are all looking forward to.

Down at the bottom of the deep blue sea!

Welcome back to Summer 2! I hope you have all had a happy and restful half term holiday.

This half term we will be diving down to the bottom of the sea to explore life under the sea. We will be starting by using the text Commotion in the Ocean to find out lots about the different creatures you can find living in the seas and oceans around the world.

Goodnight Spaceman

We have really enjoyed exploring our Solar System and have found out so many interesting facts. To end our topic this week we will be sharing the story 'Goodnight Spaceman' a story written by astronaut Tim Peake.

Mission to Mars!

This week we read the book 'Sadie Sprocket builds a rocket'. We designed, built, modified and decorated our own rockets. We blasted off in a mission to Mars to find out what it would be like to be an astronaut discovering the planet Mars.

World Earth Day

This week we have been focussing on the planet Earth. We have been reading and writing lots of facts about our precious planet. Blue Sky have found out how they can be planet protectors and spent World Earth Day thinking about the different ways we can do this.

We used the story 'The Lorax' to help us understand why we should look after our Environment.

We have been reading the book 'T Rex on Tour'. We have explored lots of different countries, climates and homes around the World. We learnt about Morpeth and that we live in England. We can even find the United Kingdom on a World map!

We have been doing lots of independent writing and finding out lots of amazing facts. We have also been reading, writing and using numbers to 20. what a busy week Blue Sky!

Welcome back

Welcome back to the Summer term!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and I am looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
