Today we used our imaginations to turn our junk modelling into different things. An egg box became a monster, a tube became binoculars ....
Today we thought about the shape made by a rainbow - an arch. We followed Mrs Roberts line drawn on the paper and used the different colours to make a rainbow. Some of the children wanted to have another go but were challenged to draw their own. Well done.
WEEK 3: OUTSIDE LEARNING
This week we have been using our 'listening ears' to listen to sounds all around us. We listened outside and inside. Today our stimulus followed on our work from LISTEN and PLAY (BBC SChools Radio) this morning where we talked about the weather. We sand Dr Foster, I hear thunder, The sun has got his hat on and drew puddles with the large chalk.
The children decided to follow some of their own leads too:
*Making nests
*Collecting and sorting beech nuts, sticks, leaves
*Making camp fires ( and roasting marsh mellows)
*Making vehicles - aeroplanes and rowing boats
Week 2: OUTSIDE LEARNING:
Today we went on a listening walk then we collected anything that we could find on the floor (Mrs Roberts took a bag in case we found any litter). We had a wonderful time and found lots of natural objects that we sorted on return to the classroom.
Week 2: Math's and Physical Development in the hall.
