Welcome to Morpeth All Saints Church of England First School and a very snowy start to the Spring term 2010.
Morpeth All Saints is a Voluntary Aided First school providing, “Love, Laughter and Learning” for children from Nursery to Year 4. We aim to provide a high standard of education in a supportive, secure and stimulating environment where all children can learn and develop to their full potential. We seek to build trusting and well-informed relationships with families. We will do all we can to make sure that the time you and your child spend, as part of our school family, is happy and successful.
The school is tucked away on the outskirts of Morpeth, serving both the local community and outlying villages of Mitford, Meldon, Hartburn and Netherwhitton. In 1968 the town of Morpeth was flooded and as a result the original school of St James was closed and a new school opened on the Lancaster Park site in 1973 as Wansbeck St. Aidan Church of England Aided First School. The fiery torch is one of the symbols of St Aidan a local Celtic saint. In 2000 the school name was changed to Morpeth All Saints to avoid confusion with other local schools. Within the reception area are artefacts from the old schools and a set of stained glass windows depicting the above.
Our school brochure provides recent relevant information about the school. However, it is not a substitute for meeting you personally.
The school is a happy and friendly place and I will work to continue to develop the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Therefore, I look forward to meeting you and working with you and your child.
