Wow! What a week Orange Class have had this week.
Thank you for your support with Story Telling Day!
On Wednesday, Story Teller Jim came in with lots of weird and wonderful objects to explore and we created stories with him, and then we carried on the story telling theme into the afternoon. We created our own Roman artefacts from clay and told stories about where they had come from, how they were found and we used lots of storytelling strategies that Jim had taught us in the morning session.
As we were now all thinking creatively, the whole school had time to write their own story to enter Chris Evans’ 500 word short story competition. Watch out for the stories in book bags and the instructions about how to enter.
We also had another fantastic session with Virgin Money. This week, three local businesses kindly donated their time to come and talk to KS2 about their business; their products, how and why it was created, their brand and how they make a profit.
Thank you very much French Grey Tales, Relish Publications and Pinny Princess!
