This week we have looked at some more space stories. From this we have made lots of large scale rockets outdoors, made our own aliens and enjoyed a space bears picnic.
On Tuesday we discovered a spaceship had visited our outdoor area and left some pants and some aliens. We read the story 'Aliens Love Underpants' and solved some addition and subtraction sums using our maths skills. We have written postcards from another planet and make portholes to show our view from space.
Next week will be science week in school. We have lots of visitors coming in to talk about their jobs and will be carrying out some fun science experiments.
Can you try you try out your own science experiment at home? Add it to Tapestry to let us see what you've been up to.
Examples of experiments:
Making crispie cakes or jelly (looking at changes)
Looking for signs of Spring (changes of seasons)
Can you find some things that float and some things that sink?
Our school is situated in attractive and extensive well maintained grounds in a small housing estate, Lancaster Park, which is north of the town of Morpeth. The school first opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Wansbeck St Aidan Church of England Aided First School until it was renamed in 2001.Read More of the school welcome page
