Welcome back, we hope you had a great Easter holiday, filled with lots of fun.
This week has been 'observation week' where we observe the children during their free choice activities. We have seen some fantastic work! Lots of writing, creating and role play has been going on. Some children have sparked an interest in houses and homes. For the next few weeks we will be looking at different types of house, looking at our own homes, before looking at types of houses around the world then moving onto castles and palaces!
Please could your child bring in a photo of their house so we can look at them and discuss similarities and differences? Also we would greatly appreciate any junk modelling equipment such as cardboard boxes to enable us to make our own houses.
As it is getting warmer, we aim to be outdoors a lot more. Please ensure your child still brings a coat to school as well as applying sun cream before school if the weather is due to be hot!
Our school is situated in attractive and extensive well maintained grounds in a small housing estate, Lancaster Park, which is north of the town of Morpeth. The school first opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Wansbeck St Aidan Church of England Aided First School until it was renamed in 2001.Read More of the school welcome page
