What an exciting week! We discovered a huge egg in our classroom. This prompted lots of discussions about where did it came from? Who brought it? What was inside?
The children wrote lots of notes and signs to make sure nobody touched the egg, and some letters from a dragon appeared too!
We have done lots of measuring this week in maths and wondered how big a dragons foot would be?
At the end of the week we went on a dragon hunt. We had to read the clues to find the next one, before finally discovering the dragon in the fort!
Next weeks literacy target: to practise reading the tricky words
Next weeks maths target: to recognise one more or one less than a given number
Our school is situated in attractive and extensive well maintained grounds in a small housing estate, Lancaster Park, which is north of the town of Morpeth. The school first opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Wansbeck St Aidan Church of England Aided First School until it was renamed in 2001.Read More of the school welcome page
