This week we have made Dragon Stew following the children's interest in the story. We added dragons blood (jelly), dragon claws (peach slices), dragon teeth (jelly teeth) and dragon brains (jelly beans). We waited for the jelly to set over night and tasted it the next day. It was delicious!
We also read the story of 'The Sunflower Sword'. The children made their own sunflower swords, traps for a dragon and labelled pictures of their dragon. This week in Pyjama Drama we have been pretending to be lions at the zoo. We all had really good imaginations.
Please could you send a shoe box into school next week as we will be making fairy houses and gardens
Next weeks literacy target: can you make up your own magical story?
Next weeks numeracy target: can you make pairs of numbers to 5 and then 10? Eg: 2+3=5, 8+2=10
Our school is situated in attractive and extensive well maintained grounds in a small housing estate, Lancaster Park, which is north of the town of Morpeth. The school first opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Wansbeck St Aidan Church of England Aided First School until it was renamed in 2001.Read More of the school welcome page
